Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the ad campaign to move people back to the paper OED from the, in my opinion, indefensible online OED.
The logophile in me rejoices. The linguist in me joins the fight. The inveteratist in me sighs with relief. The keleusmatic in me appreciates the opportunity. And the marketing professional in me applauds.
Choose a word falling into disuse. Adopt it. Use it with impunity. Save the words while you can.

Fun times. Now if only I was sure how to say it. (My tongue trips up on the easiest of words.)
Hey, fae, I’m sure they’ll grant you an adoption of a word that you only use in your writing. You’re like a single parent adopter. Loving, capable. A different kind of family is still a good family for a word in need.

What a noble cause. I thought about it while I was mingent this morning, and decided to join you in the fight. I adopted a few words and then, struck by my own aporrhoea, fled to the shower for relief.
Wow, I can’t choose, so many great words, and I only get to speak English to my 2-year-old and my 4-year-old. Given the obsession with animal everything around here, I’m going with crocitation. I quite like it.

What a fab site! But I wonder, would it be inciting theomenty to promote both a threatened word and a new one at the same time? The reason I ask is that I am on a mission to have an isangelous word added to the books; one of my own penning – vandalous and I feel that pregnatress has given me this mission. What do you think?
I wonder what is says about me that I adopted “agonyclite.” I’m sure my husband could chime in here.
